Tallboy Bomb Crater

The Tallboy was a 6-ton bomb designed to explode underground, thus creating an earthquake effect. Also known as the "earthquake bomb".
The "sub pens" air raid shelter is in the background, left of the photo. This was probably the aiming point for the test of the bomb.
